If what the user above said is true about Aussieland not haveing pennies in 1976, then the coin is most probably from Canada. If that is so, I highly doubt that your coin is worth much as the minting process has become very advanced and for the past few decades they make coins by the billions per year.

I have an australian 3 pence coin how much is it worth? I'm talking about collector's value not face value.
We need to know the year and condition because the Australian 3 Pence was made from 1910 until 1964 which have various values and some have silver.
Go to your local library and check the Krause catalog (737.4). If your library doesn't have a copy, ask the librarian. Australian large cents were made from 1911 until 1964. Most of them are worth less than a quarter. 1911-1915, 1918, 1925, 1930, 1931, 1933, 1946, 1959, and a few date varieties are worth more. The 1930 is worth $1000's of dollars.
also how many has been found and is it the rares australian coin and what is it values all conditions
You ask much. I hope this link helps.
I dont want to send my coin to anyone, i thought that there is a website where you can go just to look at coins from different years and it should have the value of that coin right there next to it.
The coins are mostly worth less than 25 cents each. Go to the library at 737.4 for books on coins. Most libraries have a big thick book called the "Standard Catalog of World Coins" that will have the value of all your coins. It lists retail prices, which is 2-3 times what a dealer will pay for them.
Australian Penny Top Lot at Noble Sale | Collecting News
When Lot 5890 hammered at Noble Numismatics’ last sale of 2009, the total realized had soared past $3.8 million. Clearly the market appetite Down Under for coins, bank notes, tokens and medals has been little affected by global economic woes.
Star of the show was a penny, but not just any old penny. Among Australian bronze pennies, that struck in 1925 at Melbourne Mint may not be the ...

1907 Indian Head Penny|1907 Penny|1907 Indian Penny | Collecting ...
The 1907 Indian head penny had the highest mintage of the series, with 108,138,618 coins being struck, all at the Philadelphia mint. At the time this was the highest level of output ever at the US Mint.
The 1907 Indian head penny circulated widely and average well circulated examples of this coin are very common. Because of the large volume of coins minted, the price difference between a well circulated coin and one in Fine or Very Fine condition is minimal. The eye appeal of the higher graded coins, however, will be much better. A 1907 Indian head penny in Fine or Very Fine condition will have a full LIBERTY in the headdress and a lot more detail than one in Good or Very Good condition. These coins will only cost a couple of dollars more than their well worn counterparts. Spending some time and a little more money will result in a much nicer coin for your collection.
