I have come from Austria to Australia. I have been told about cricket, football, surfing and barbecues. But what are the less known things Australians do or love? For example in Austria we have some games like Anmeierln - a number of players take turns to throw coins against a wall. The person who owns the coin that ended up closest to the wall scoops up all the coins and choses head or tail and then throws then up in the air. She/he keeps whatever was called. The remaining coins go to the next person and so on. You won't read about this in a tourist guide, but that's a national favorite in Austria. So I am wondering, what are the favorites here - things that people do and enjoy beyond the obvious cricket, football, surfing and barbecues. There must be some unique Australian pasttimes!??
Its really different with everyone you talk to, one group might like fishing, or swimming, or i dunno, they might hate bbqs.
