Value of a bag of $1 dollar Canadian coins?

I have a bag of 100 - $1 dollar Canadian coins. They are in mint condition, the bag has never been opened and still has the original seal on it from the mint. I am curious as the the value of this. Any help? It appears the year is between 1964 and 1968.

!968 would be worth less than 1964-1967 because it's the first year that silver content was reduced to zero. Before that, dollars were 80% silver. Bullion value alone for 100 silver coins is currently roughly $800. A sealed bag form the RCM would carry a premium. I would guess the bag is worth at least $1000. Check with a dealer specializing in Canadian coins. A bag of 1968 might be worth between $150 and $250.

what is the value of a 1898-1960 Canadian 1 dollar silver coin?

Well something is wrong here because the first Canadian silver dollar struck for circulation was in 1935 and there is no commemorative dollar from 1960. You must have what is called a trade dollar that was made for a celebration by a city or group. They are very common in Canada. The usually have a date on them that they are good up to. They are a private mint item not a Royal Canadian Mint item. There are thousands of them from British Columbia to Newfoundland. I have a lot from Prince Edward Island as well as Nova Scotia. They usually sell for $4-$20 depending on how rare it is. I do not have a catalog of values for these items but one is out there. Best I can do here,

Value of 1 Canadian dollar from 1965?

Just found a 1 Canadian dollar coin in my closet. Since it's from 1965 i wondering what's the face value of this coin.
On one side there's a kayak and on the other the portrait of Elizabeth II. Thanks.

First of all it is a canoe and is called a voyager dollar for the two guys paddling it. there are actually 5 varieties. When I write beads here it is the little dots around the rim. #1 is small beads pointed 5, #2 is small beads blunt 5, #3 is large beads blunt 5, #4 is large beads pointed 5, #5 is medium beads pointed 5. The tail of the 5 comes to a point for pointed or for the blunt it is squared off. Some would need to see it that knows the types to tell you or maybe you van find a book on Canadian coins. The medium bead one is the scarcest and sell for $9 in grade very fine to $45 in mint state 63. The other go for $4 to $14 depending on variety in same grades. these are trends prices so are an average sell price. Most dealers sell for less and pay a lot less.

4 USA coins equal 1 USA dollar. One coin can NOT be a USA quarter. What are the coins being used to equal the1?

And yes- I am stating the riddle right according to an email I received. I do know that it is not a Canadian quarter being used wither.

The answer is 4 quarters. The riddle says that 1 coin can't be a quarter. It does not say all 4 can't be quarters.

Canadian toonie, not 1 bout 3 polar bears?

ok, my Mom has a "Toonie" 2 dollar canadian coin , that has 3 polor bear on it instead of the usual 1 polar bear. Someone told us that the rare toonie with 3 polar bares are very valuable and are a collectors item..is this true?? and if so where can you find a website about it?
thanks

"Hi"....that is the Millennium edition, the coin value "2 DOLLARS" appears on the obverse instead of on the reverse side . And "yep" it features a Momma bear and her two cubs rather than a single larger one and was issued in 2000. It's only worth a..." twonie " ( my slang *lol* ) or $2.00 Canadian .

Note....Two special edition Toonies have been issued in the past. In 1999, the commemorative Toonie featured an Inuit drummer to celebrate the founding of
Nunavut. As part of the Millennium coin series in 2000, the Royal Canadian Mint produced a Toonie featuring a polar bear and cubs and the words
"KNOWLEDGE" in English and "LE SAVOIR" in French.

Over the past ten years, approximately half a billion Toonies have been produced by the Royal Canadian Mint.

Hope that helps ya and sorry ! *S* (Michael C...)
