the Royal Canadian Mint is making way too many coins. Most of them don't even have pictures to do with Canada on them like 1 has a picture a of Santa Clause on it, another is shaped like a playing Card, there are about 40 different olympics quarters, Hockey team symbols, about 50 different olympic dollar coins, a 20dollar coin with a picture of sharks on it, most of them are not even being circulated and have to be purchased off the Mint. My point is they are making way too many and making it imposable for a Collect to get them all, especially since they are not all being circulated. any thoughts on the subject?

(excuse any spelling or grammar mistakes)
It is frustrating for the long-time collector, but the long-time collector is not who they're going after. They are hoping to attract new collectors, and offering a huge variety of choices opens it up to a wider audience. The RCM ( and the US Mint, who is doing the same thing on a much smaller scale) isn't worried about future value as much as they are selling what they have today.
It's completely a business decision, and it's perfectly understandable. Think about it. These mints are government entities. Do they make money from the coins they produce to be used as money? Absolutely not, they lose money. They sell what they produce to banks at face value; production and distribution costs eat that up and then some. But what they produce for the collector market (and don't forget the sizable investor sub-market) is sold for substantial premiums. Wouldn't you, if you were in the business of making coins?

when did the de-crowned start?
There is no listings in the books yet for 2009 Canadian coinage. So your best bet is to google the Royal Canadian Mint to get their web site and ask.

The coin you see at the very bottom, under the Canadian quarter (the 25 cent piece with the Caribou on it), is a 10 cent piece from New Zealand.

A silver 1890-O Morgan dollar is worth between $15 and $40 in circulated grades. A silver 1902 Barber Half Dollar might have a mint mark and is worth up to $50 if you can not read the full LIBERTY. The 1925 Indian/Buffalo 5 Cent might have a mint mark: plain $2 and $50; D $10 and $300; S $5 and $300. A 1903 Indian Head Cent is worth up to $4 if you can not read the full LIBERTY. A silver 1944 Winged Liberty "Mercury" Dime might have a mint mark and is worth between $1 and $7 in circulated grades. The two proof Washington Quarter Dollars are worth about $6 each if like new. The Kennedy Half Dollar description is kind of confusing but the proofs are worth about $8 if like new. The "p and d coin sets" would depend upon the year and whether they are US, uncirculated, silver, or proof, but most are less than $10 each. A silver 1965 Canadian Dime is worth between $1 and $1.50 in circulated grades. A silver 1962 Canadian Quarter Dollar is worth between $2.50 and $3 in circulated grades. The gold plated coins contain very little gold and are not worth much. All the rest are typically not worth much more than face value unless you have rare Lincoln Cent date, silver, or proof coins. Please check the links below for further information. I hope that helps.
What is the current value of a 1943 canadian nickel in 2009? And where can i sell it without having to spend any money? Would the price increase over the years? Thanks in advance. =)
The 1943 Canadian Tombac nickel has a book value of .40 in grade very good to $2.00 in extra fine. You would need to find a canadian coin collector or a dealer in them if you live outside Canada, in Canada see a coin dealer. The nickel is actually one of a year type. It did have a mintage of 25,000,000 but as time goes by more get lost and more collectors are added. I would say at this time to keep it. It would also be best to get a holder for it such as a 2X2 mylar cardboard staple mount, they are inexpensive and protect the coin. Any coin dealer has them and since you only want one just may give it too you. Hope this helps.
