In the U.S., banks give out those rolls for free. Is the same not true in Canada?
I recently went to one of the banks in my city and bought two cases of dimes to see what I would manage to find searching them. Watch the video to ...
I live in Canada but have a bunch of American change. Can I roll these with the regular plastic coin wrappers we have here? Will any Canadian banks accept rolled American coins?
Thanks
Actually, I was wondering about exchanging the American change for American dollars.
They accept them at par. You will receive Canadian Dollars. But because of the recent devaluation of the US Dollar making Canadian Dollars worth more than US, this may not work anymore pretty soon.

I also would like to know the difference between a federal reserve note and a United States Note 2.00 bill. Also an uncirculated set of 1943 lead pennies from each mint. What are rolls of mercury dimes worth. Would appreciate any input. Also have silver dollars.
Your best bet is to see a coin dealer. You didn't list the date of the Canadian set, or what type it was. The $2.00 U.S. notes from 1928-1963 was backed by the government and silver. Federal Reserve Notes are issued by the 12 Federal Reserve Districts and are back by our faith in the government. The 1943 cents are zinc coated steel. Many have been re-plated, so one must look for wear, if the lines in the wheat are gone or in bad shape, they were re-plated. They are not really that rare and I could not find a dealer price on them. Comon date and grade Mercury ( actually Winged Liberty Head) dimes are worth 7-8 times face. Older ones or rare dates are of course worth more. As for silver dollars, without dates and mint marks I can't help you.
i have rolls of quarters ..dimes ....and half dollars.
Your local bank can do this. Some banks may charge a fee, you may be able to get it done for free if you have an account with the bank as well. It is a good idea to call your local bank and ask what the current exchange rate is from canadian to us dollar. It usually around 70 cents on per every dollar. Which means that for every dollar in Canadian you have you will get about 70 cents in US. I'm not too sure what the exact exchange rate is so don't quote me on this. But like I said call some local banks and ask if they charge to do an internation currency exchange. Since you live in Minnesota most banks will do this, because we are so close to the border. I live in Duluth, and I know that in most of the banks I go into there is a sign above the teller stating the current exchange rate. But you should not have a problem with it. Good luck and don't spend it all in one place!
I'm traveling to Calgary, AB, Canada tomorrow and I have a lot of coins (like, around $30 worth) all loose... is there any major stores that have machines like Coinstar (machine that charges 8.9 cents per dollar, but gives you a voucher for your coins so you can use it at the store or get cash for it at the register)? Or does anybody know the denominations the coin rolls have to be to exchange at a Canadian bank?
In Canada if you have enough for a roll ,you are supposed to roll it.The bank will not take a bag ,you will have to roll it if you have enough for a roll.Stores will take it as long as it`s not to much..
Here are the coin rolls denomination's
1 cent-50 coins =$0.50
5 cents-40 coins=$2.0
10 cents-50 coins=$5.00
25cents-40 coins=$10.00
$1-25coins=$25.00
$2-25 coins=$50.00
