Canadian Dollar Coin Value

Answers

What is the value of a 1996 Canadian 2 dollar coin?

I have one an I am wondering how much it is worth now?
In the USA?

1996 was the first year that Canadian $2 coins were produced, and that is by far the most common date in the series. Over 375 million were produced, more than all other dates combined. It is unlikely that it will be worth more than $2 any time soon.
It catalogs for $3.25 in Choice Uncirculated condition and face value in circulated condition.

What's the value of a 1967 canadian one dollar coin?

These are fairly common coins because they minted so many of them. In uncirculated condition probably $10.00 They minted just over 7 million coins for Canada's centennial.

Value of 1 Canadian dollar from 1965?

Just found a 1 Canadian dollar coin in my closet. Since it's from 1965 i wondering what's the face value of this coin.
On one side there's a kayak and on the other the portrait of Elizabeth II. Thanks.

First of all it is a canoe and is called a voyager dollar for the two guys paddling it. there are actually 5 varieties. When I write beads here it is the little dots around the rim. #1 is small beads pointed 5, #2 is small beads blunt 5, #3 is large beads blunt 5, #4 is large beads pointed 5, #5 is medium beads pointed 5. The tail of the 5 comes to a point for pointed or for the blunt it is squared off. Some would need to see it that knows the types to tell you or maybe you van find a book on Canadian coins. The medium bead one is the scarcest and sell for $9 in grade very fine to $45 in mint state 63. The other go for $4 to $14 depending on variety in same grades. these are trends prices so are an average sell price. Most dealers sell for less and pay a lot less.

Value of a bag of $1 dollar Canadian coins?

I have a bag of 100 - $1 dollar Canadian coins. They are in mint condition, the bag has never been opened and still has the original seal on it from the mint. I am curious as the the value of this. Any help? It appears the year is between 1964 and 1968.

!968 would be worth less than 1964-1967 because it's the first year that silver content was reduced to zero. Before that, dollars were 80% silver. Bullion value alone for 100 silver coins is currently roughly $800. A sealed bag form the RCM would carry a premium. I would guess the bag is worth at least $1000. Check with a dealer specializing in Canadian coins. A bag of 1968 might be worth between $150 and $250.

I have a $100.00 dollar gold coin ...Silver Jubilee Queen Elizabeth 2nd ..What is its value in Canadian Dollar

If it's a Canadian $100 gold coin, the face value of it is $100 CDN if you choose to spend it.

What you're looking for is it's numismatic value, and that can vary based on the age, condition and rarity of the coin.

What year was the coin minted? Has the coin ever been used? Was there any mistakes when the coin was minted -- that is, was it double-struck (struck twice)? Does Her Majesty face the wrong way compared to the regular issue? etcetera.

Your best answers are not on the Web. A good coin dealer in your town can assay (figure out the value) of your coin and (probably) quote you a fair price.

But if the Web way's the only way for you, seek on Yahoo the following search terms

<year> 100 Canada gold coin Queen Elizabeth Silver Jubilee

and ye shall find.

Good luck, Cincypix.

The Path Past US Dollar Hyperinflation - The National Inflation ...

&Quot; In a move that demonstrates just how clueless politicians in Washington are about the U.S. economy, a group of U.S. senators introduced legislation this week in an attempt to make the Obama administration take action against China over its currency policy. The so-called "currency manipulation bill" being proposed would seek penalties against countries that fail to address misaligned currencies. Concurrently, 130 congressmen from both sides have signed a letter asking Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to take action on the issue. These politicians are criticizing China for keeping their currency at artificially depressed levels, which they say gives China an unfair advantage...
