Quarter Canadian Coin

In the U.S. the most representative, most loved coin, is probably the Morgan dollar. Some might say the buffalo quarter, others the St. Gauden's double eagle, others would say the Spanish milled dollar, even though technically not U.S. Of course it is a matter of opinion, but what would be your vote for The Quintessential Canadian Coin?

There are a lot of Canadian Large cent collectors out there. Also Canadian silver dollar collectors from 1935-1967. Either one would get my vote. I myself collect the pre confederation tokens or what are called colonial tokens dated 1812-1850's from Canada's past. I have learned a lot about early Canada by the tokens,even though I live in the United States but not to far from the Canadian border an hour or so.

And yes- I am stating the riddle right according to an email I received. I do know that it is not a Canadian quarter being used wither.

The answer is 4 quarters. The riddle says that 1 coin can't be a quarter. It does not say all 4 can't be quarters.

A friend of mine has a business that generates about 15000 pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters every month. He needs to purchase a good industrial grade machine (money no problem) that can count AND sort the coins. Also, the machine needs to be able to reject any and all non Canadian currency.

15k coins is not that many. Used to do that on a small arcade route in a month. I used a Klopp counter, this one did not have a sorter, but they do sell one with a sorter. Not sure about the Canadian side, but they have been at it awhile, and would be a good place to start.

Try www.gatewestcoin.com. they are a large dealer in Canada of Canadian coins and the like. They should have albums. In the U.S. you can try www.brooklyngallery.com they are a large dealer in coin and stamp supplies and they may have the albums also. Either one should be able to help you. My jar is getting full of Canadian coins especially Canadian quarters. I called my bank and they don't accept them. I was hoping that I would trade them for american coins. Any suggestions on what to do with them?
Instead of traveling to Canada just to trade in the American coins!

Take 'em to Canada.
