hi i have a 1/10 oz coin
made in 1997
worth five dollars
elizabeth the 2 appears on the coin
its fine gold
on front it has a maple leaf

COULD ANY ONE TELL ME HOW MUCH THE COIN IS WORTH ???

They are selling on eBay for between $90 and $100 USD or $100 to $110 CAD which is the bullion value of the gold. I hope that helps.

A friend of mine just showed me her 1oz. Gold Maple 9999 Fine Gold and it says "50 DOLLARS" on it, but she says she bought it for $1000.

And on her 1oz SILVER Maple 9999 Fine Silver it says "5 DOLLARS", but she bought it for around $20.

What is the Royal Canadian Mint not telling us?

So that people would be more likely to accept it when trading with people. But it in no way reflects the content value of the coin.

1. I assume that by "the stack", you mean the mass of all of these coins. Simply multiply the total number of coins by the weight of a single coins. Since the weight you are provided with is in grams, the answer you get will be in grams. Divide that number by 1000 to convert it into kilograms (since there are 1000 grams in 1 kilogram).

2. Figure out the total number of coins needed for this. Since you are provided with the total dollar value of the coins, divide that by the face value of a single coin (i.e. - $750,000 / $150) to get this total.
