I would like to put my coin collection in an album but I am having a difficult time finding an album and album pages for my 2x2 hard plastic coin holders. Most of my coins are in these types of cases and I find they are better at protecting coins then the 2x2 cardboard holders.I have found several albums for 2x2 cardboard coin holders but nothing for hard plastic cases, such as the H.E. Harris plastic coin holders or the Whitman plastic holders
There are no albums that I know of for the hard plastic 2X2's made by harris or Whitman. There is a company called Eagle that has hard plastic cases and there own album. www.eaglecoinholders.com. Coin World the weekly coin magazine also has a hard plastic case and a special album. From them in order to get a discount you must get their magazine but they will sell to others but without a discount. www.coinworld.com or if a subscriber like I am I go to www.amosadvantage.com. Another place to try for there are new products all the time is www.brooklyngallery.com they are a large dealer in supplies for coins and stamps and have a huge inventory. Others to try are www.jpscorner.com they carry some of the coin world items. Hope this sets you on the right road.

These are U. S. Uncirculated coin mint sets from 1965-2006. Each year is sealed and includes historic U. S. stamps and commemorative postmarks as well as major events from each year. all included in a Deluxe Collectors Album.
They are not U.S. mint sets put together by the mint but uncirculated sets put together by the a private contractor for the commemorative society. They unfortunately have little secondary market value. True coin collectors won't touch them nor will coin dealers. If a dealer does, they usually offer so little that it is insulting. the 1/2 dollars from 1965-1970 are at least 40% silverr. I would just hold onto them for now, the reason is, collectors now are just waking up to the fact that some of the early clad coins are not that easy to find in high grade. Some day, if your coins are free of bag marks, they may well pay off in the end. It won't be for a while. Most people have to lean the hard way, that coins from private mints and societies do not far well ,even if made of silver for all they are worth to a dealer is silver price, nothing more.
I keep my coin collection in a card album, but i put tape on the openings to keep them from sliding out.is a coin album better? Or am i fine the way it is?
Coins sliding around wear and get friction marks. 2 X 2 staple type cardboard mounts with Mylar are cheap about $5 a hundred, less at some places. They also make 3 ring binder pages that holds 20 coins in the mounts at around 60 cents each. Go to www.brooklyngallery.com and look at all the different ways to store and protect coins and find one you like that fits your finances. The prices there are real good. I use several systems depending on the coins themselves as well as the coins value.

i used to keep my coin collection in my attic then one day it fell through a crack in the floor that i couldn't see because the fuzzy ping stuff was blocking it, and it slid down this thing and now there is no way i can think of getting to it, i cant fit down there, the ling will lead to a diagram of were it is, plz tell me ow to solve this problem, that coin colection had like 50 what pennies in it and a coin worth 1000 dollars, if my parents found out this happened they will be very dissapointed. http://s175.photobucket.com/albums/w149/ supaman33333/?action=view¤t=da iagram.jpg
since it looks like you know close to exactly where it is, go above that spot and make a hole for yourself to reach in and grab it. (yes, i do understand that that means cutting up the floor) After you do that, fix up the hole you make and patch up the crack so that way nothing else will fall. Good luck!

It’s more fun to collect high-end, gorgeous coins. Of course, many collectors don’t figure this out until later in their collecting path and, going at it alone, spend much of their early collecting years in a learning pattern where they make mistakes.
