What way can i relate a empty paper coin holder to like the 13 colonies age. or any time?

Please help im stuck its supposed to be a fun project but its difficult


Think of the coins in a roll of coins: they're not connected to each other, the coins have different dates on them, and some are tarnished while others are new. So the original colonies were created at different times, ranging from 1609 to 1732, for different reasons, and they had little contact with each other until they separately got fed up with British taxes and rules. They joined together - loosely - to fight the Revolution and won, thanks mostly to good military effort and the fact the British were paying more attention to fighting other wars than to the colonies. So a paper coin wrapper symbolizes the loose union the colonies had, until the Constitution was ratified years after the revolution.
